Why am I not receiving the notification email?

Several reasons can cause delays or failures in receiving the notification email when a job is completed.

Email not Verified in SES

Ensure that the email address is verified in SES.
  • Verify that the email address to which the notification email is sent is verified in SES.

Delay in Email Delivery

Sometimes, there is a delay of a few minutes in sending the email.
  • Wait a few minutes and check again your inbox.

Spam Folder

Check the spam folder to see if the email has been marked as spam.
  • If the email is in the spam folder, add the sender's domain to your safe senders list.
  • If the email is not in the spam folder, check for other potential issues.

Job Interrupted Mid-Process

If the job is interrupted mid-process, the notification email may not be sent.
  • Check the job status in CloudWatch by accessing the AWS console.
  • Ensure not to manually terminate jobs/EC2 instances while they are in process with status "Running".
  • Review the job logs to identify runtime errors that may have caused the interruption.

No SES Templates uploaded

Ensure that the SES templates are correctly uploaded.
  • Verify that the templates (RenderCompletedTemplate and RenderFailedTemplate) are correctly configured in Email Notifications.
